Tesla ($TSLA) delivered 139,300 vehicles in the third quarter the company announced early Friday, topping analyst estimates of 137,000 vehicles that were revised downward. Tesla stock fell.
Wall Street previously expected 144,000 deliveries, according to FactSet. But that was lowered on Wednesday. Forecasts ranged from of a low of 123,000 to a high of 147,700.
Tesla stock dropped 6.1%, near 420.60, during afternoon action on the stock market today. The company said production numbers were higher than deliveries, as it made 145,036 vehicles during the quarter.
"Our net income and cash flow results will be announced along with the rest of our financial performance when we announce third-quarter earnings," Tesla said in a statement.
